The Background

As a small to medium business we don’t have the time or resources to read through hundreds of CVs before beginning the interview process. We came across Pick of the people when looking to fill two trainee roles and their emphasis on simplicity and overall ethos was a brilliant fit. We were able to view candidates in our area and quickly glean the information that we needed. When looking for new employees we firstly consider a person’s attitude and personal attributes. Whilst specific skills are important for certain roles, we feel that skills can be taught over time, but a person’s attitude is harder to change. We were open to giving the right candidate a chance and although their work experience didn’t meet with the role specifically we felt that their attitude towards work gave them potential to flourish within our company.
